Perched dramatically on a hillside overlooking Oslo, Chez Colin is more than just a restaurant; it’s a captivating experience rooted in Norwegian history and culinary tradition. Originally a ski jump, this iconic structure, the oldest in the world, has been meticulously transformed into a sophisticated dining destination. The building's sleek, contemporary design – a lean, forward-leaning tower of steel and glass – offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and surrounding landscape.
But Chez Colin’s story goes deeper than its striking appearance. Beneath the launchpad lies a museum, revealing the remarkable legacy of skiing in Norway, a heritage stretching back 4,000 years. Discover ancient rock carvings and wooden artifacts that tell tales of this vital part of the nation's identity. The restaurant itself offers a refined and welcoming atmosphere, blending traditional Norwegian hospitality with a touch of French elegance, as evidenced by the positive reviews consistently praising their service and delicious food.

Takk for oss.
Love the atmosphere and the people working in this restaurant, simply lovely. However, I guess I chose the wrong timing for my visit. The skin fried seabass with ratatouille, olives, veal jus and crème fraîche cream did not deliver. The skin was soggy and the crème fraîche cream came on a bruschetta that simply did not mix with the rest of the dish. The ratatouille was too much in flavor and too little in texture. The dish simply lacked balance and texture. We had crème brûlée which was so undercooked that we could simply not eat it.
