Discover an important part of Leiria's history at the Chapel of São João Baptista / dos Pinheiros, located at Lugar de Pinheiros, Rua de São João Baptista. This monumental 18th century chapel offers a unique view of the city, being accessible by car. The sawing of beams and window frames, as well as the making of two interior altarpieces, date from the time of its construction, eighteenth century. The Municipal Development Pattern of Leiria of 1995, DR no. 204, eventually recognized its value and included it as Municipal Value.
