In Coimbra
There is a beautiful chapel in Coimbra, dedicated to Saint Anthony of Lisbon from the sixteenth century. The Renaissance horizon-less tomb is immortalized with the Cunha Perestrelo shield, from the cousin of the second administrator of the Morgado de Santo António da Cioga do Monte. The Chapel of Santo António-a-Velha is located in the Pingo de Ouro area, R. da Rigueira 45, 3025-214 Coimbra. The chapel is right in the center of the city and its location gives it a privileged view of Coimbra. It is possible to get to the chapel by car, which makes it an important tourist attraction with its altar and its image of Santo António from the eighteenth century. It is also part of the Portuguese Way that belongs to Quinta de Santo António. Visit Capela de Santo António-a-Velha and admire one of the most precious spots of our cultural heritage.
