The Chapel of Our Lady of Monserrate, located in Praça das Amoreiras, in the municipality of Lisbon, was built in 1768 to honor Our Lady of Monserrate, the patron saint of French artisans. This octagonal chapel has a simple facade with a triangular pediment, a plain frame door, a window and an oculus. Inside stands out the splendor and beauty of its altars painted with wood to imitate marble, a dome covered with tempera painting and the blue and white tiles panels from the old Rato Factory. These last details give this building a rocaille influence.
