Negrelos Mountain is one of the largest forest settlements in Vila Nova de Gaia, where there were once quarries that contributed to the economic prosperity of the interior of the municipality. In 1983, a Nature Interpretation Trail was created with the aim of transforming the mountain into an environmental education space. This trail has now been reactivated to bring people closer to nature and to raise awareness of the conservation of this green space. Another novelty of this route is this swing, created by a group of friends from the ADC Santa Isabel Trail & Running, who are trying to get more people to know Negrelos Mountain. Framed by the mountain's forest mass, the swing has a view of a lagoon in the old quarry and to get there just follow a path marked with pink ribbons, which starts next to the bandstand and the church of Canelas.
