"A small village located in the mountains of Serra de Lousão, near Ribeira do Candal. It is included in the Serra da Lousã Site of Community Importance, of the Natura 2000 network, and is crossed by the EN236 road, which makes access easier. This road gives access to the Alto de Trevim, the highest point of Serra de Lousão, and to Castanheira de Pera. It has an Aldeias do Xisto Store and historical attractions such as mills, an olive oil mill, a washbasin and a fountain."
