The Canário Lagoon is located in Serra Devassa, sheltered in a volcanic crater. Its altitude in relation to sea level is 800 meters and it is surrounded by forests typical of Macaronesia and cryptomeria plantations. Near this lagoon is the Mirador da Lagoa do Canário.
