Located in the slopes of Serra da Gardunha, close to the margin of the Zêzere River and next to the Panasqueira Mines, an exploitation area of wolfram. On the path that leads to the river, several ancient mills can be appreciated, and on the other side of the river there are rupestrian engravings with thousands of years. In this village is located the headquarter of the network of Aldeias do Xisto Stores, which sells genuine and quality selected products. The village is part of the GR33 (Grande Rota do Zêzere) land route.
