"The Castle of Ansiães, also referred to as the Castle of Carrazeda de Ansiães, is located in Selores, in the parish of Lavandeira, Beira Grande and Selores, in the municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães, in the district of Bragança, in Portugal. In a dominant position on a granite mountain, originally with defensive purposes, away from the village, in the Douro valley, it integrates the Douro Sul Tourism Region. At the beginning of the twentieth century, it was classified as a National Monument by decree published on 23 June 1910".
