In addition, a playground on the sand and a large green space with shade offer alternatives for entertainment and rest.

During your visit, there are a variety of activities at your disposal. The Centro de Ciência Viva do Alviela - Carsoscope explores the origins of Olhos de Água and the paths that the Alviela River took to reach the beach. For nature enthusiasts, the caves formed by the passage of water offer a unique spectacle. Well-marked walking trails guide you through stunning scenery, with the river flowing between rocks and trees.
Exploring the Surroundings
A fitness circuit with a running track and exercise area complements the range of activities. The most popular points of interest include the Poço Escuro, the Fluvio-Karsic Cannon of Ribeira dos Amiais, the Sink of Ribeira dos Amiais, the Resurgence of Ribeira dos Amiais and the Janela Cársica. Next to the Centro de Ciência Viva, you will also find the Alcanena MTB Center, where five mountain bike routes start.
