"Lagoa de Albufeira (Setúbal)": This lagoon, measuring approximately 1.3 square kilometres with an elongated geometry, is composed of two main lagoon bodies connected by a narrow canal. Surrounded by vast sandy marshes, this location has tranquil waters and serves as a refuge for migratory, aquatic and wading birds. It is believed that this lagoon may have been the path of the Tagus River to the sea, located 150 meters away. This piscicolous position has protected dunes.
