Ici, vous trouverez un magnifique complexe hôtelier en bord de mer regorgeant de jardins tropicaux, de multiples piscines et d'un accès direct au sable. We stayed at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa during our trip, and overall it was a decent experience. The resort is located right by the beach. One of the nicest parts of the hotel is the lobby, which appears to be newly renovated and looks modern and welcoming. The resort also has some unique touches that make the stay memorable. Every morning they host a little penguin show, which is fun to watch, and there are also a few beautiful parrots in the lobby area along with a fish pond on the property. These small details give the resort a lively, tropical vibe and make walking around the grounds enjoyable. The on-site restaurants are good, and we enjoyed the convenience of having multiple dining options within the resort. The staff throughout the property were friendly and helpful, which always adds to the overall experience. However, while the property and grounds are beautiful, much of the hotel feels dated. The rooms, furniture, and some of the common areas definitely need an upgrade. Everything was clean and functional, but the interiors feel older and could really benefit from a refresh to match the otherwise beautiful setting of the resort. Overall, Hyatt Regency Maui has a great location, beautiful grounds, and friendly service, but the dated rooms keep it from feeling like a truly modern luxury resort. Still, it’s a comfortable place to stay if you’re looking for a classic Maui resort experience.
I liked it because there were a lot of birds and there were some 🦢and a lot of pools 🏊♀️.
Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Beautiful lobby and great pool.
Had a great time and the bar by the pool the tenders were all bad ass!! Thx guys had an awesome time
I have a lot to say about this Hyatt resort, and unfortunately, most of it is negative. First of all, I did not encounter a single kind staff member during my stay. At the recreation desk, every time I went to rent a beach chair or ask about activities, I was met with attitude. One time, when I rented multiple beach chairs, I offered to help carry them. Instead of appreciating the gesture, the staff member yelled at me to “stay behind the line” and said she would handle it. It was unnecessarily rude. Across from the front desk at the activity center, there was an older staff member who seemed to have little knowledge about the activities. She had to keep making phone calls to ask basic questions, and in the end, I still didn’t get the information I needed. When I brought a few concerns to the front desk and asked to speak with a manager, the response was disappointing. Before offering any apology, she seemed judgmental and focused on what I supposedly did wrong and what I “shouldn’t have done.” It did not feel professional at all. The Regency Club was the worst part. Every staff interaction there felt unfriendly and unwelcoming. The lounge was overcrowded, seating was very limited, and the food selection was minimal. Honestly, this was the worst Regency Club I’ve experienced — and I’m a Globalist member. In our room, one of the shower gowns had dark foundation makeup stains on it, which was unacceptable in terms of cleanliness. We were also charged a fee for pool towels because we didn’t return them directly to the towel center. We kept a few in our room to stay warm on the way back, and still got charged. At one point, I asked for a first aid kit, and both the front desk and security only had a few bandages. Isn’t it standard for a hotel of this level to have a properly stocked first aid kit available for guests? That was very surprising and concerning. As for activities, everything was fully booked weeks in advance. If you’re planning a last-minute trip and expect to book activities once you arrive, you likely won’t find availability. Another major issue was that our neighbor was smoking on their balcony. I saw it and reported it to the front desk. Security came and gave them a warning, saying they would “do something” if it happened again. What’s the point of having no-smoking signs if violators are only warned? It just causes stress for neighboring guests. On the positive side, the pool area is nice, the beach is within walking distance, and the room had an amazing view. Overall, the service and management were extremely disappointing and not at the level I would expect from a Hyatt property.
This is the best hotel in Maui! It's been my go-to for years. The staff always goes above and beyond to create a warm, inviting, friendly, and hospitable environment. The rooms and views are superb, the food is beyond delicious, and the amenities are top notch. I would highly recommend staying here at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa. They are the best at what they do!
Poor management decision to make payers of valet parking line up with checkin guests.
Update: Back 1 year later and still enjoyed our stay. We were in the other building this time. Our stay was nothing but amazing! We were upgraded to an ocean view room, and the view was incredible. We booked using points and we are hyatt explorists. I spent every sunrise on the balcony. Bonus that they actually have a coffee shop here. Club room coffee is never usually that good. The location was very walkable to explore or spend the day at the beach. This place seems a bit more family friendly, so we found ourselves in the pool early morning or late evenings around sunset. We loved seeing the penguins, too! 10/10 would recommend to family and friends.
